What is Fox's "Star": An unapologetic riff on the "Empire" formula of hip-hop melodrama, the more low-rent "Star" follows the (presumed) rise of three young singers in the Atlanta music scene -- a contemporary TLC but think damaged, trampy and bitchy instead of CrazySexyCool.
