ISLAMABAD， Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan looks forward to work closely with the new administration in the United States towards mutual benefits of both countries， as Republican Donald Trump won U.S. presidential election on Tuesday， said a Foreign Ministry spokesman here on Thursday.


"It will remain the endeavor of Pakistan to promote and strengthen the existing relationship in the areas of common interest with the United States，" Foreign Ministry spokesman Nafeez Zakaria said at his weekly briefing on the U.S. presidential race.


"Pakistan has multidimensional and strategic relationships with the U.S.， including economic， defense， science and technology， education， strategic issues， counter-terrorism and wants to strengthen them further，" Zakaria said.
