A task force for women's football convened on Tuesday and its proposal for the new competition will be examined by the FIFA Committee for Women's Football and the FIFA Women's World Cup on Wednesday.


The FIFA Executive Committee will make the final decision during its March 19-20 meeting.

NEW DELHI, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- A high-speed passenger trainderailed in the Indian capital Thursday, railway officialssaid.


The derailment of Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express from the easterncity of Ranchi took place on Minto bridge around 12:00 p.m. localtime, hours after seven coaches of another passenger train went offthe tracks in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.


However, there have been no casualties in the incident.


"The engine and the power car are affected. Since the speed ofthe (Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani Express) train was very low, there wasno injury to any passenger," Neeraj Sharma, Northern Railwaysspokesperson, told the media.


Earlier this morning, Shaktikunj Express train derailed nearObra railway station close to Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh. However,all the passengers are safe.


This is the sixth incident of train derailment in the past 20days.


On August 29, nine coaches and the engine of Duronto Expressderailed near Titwala station, a small town in the western state ofMaharashtra. No injuries were reported.


Five people were injured after a passenger train derailed inIndia's financial capital Mumbai on Aug. 25.


Similarly on Aug. 23, over 80 people sustained injuries whenDelhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed in the northern Indian stateof Uttar Pradesh.


And on Aug. 19, 14 coaches of Utkal Express derailed in the samestate, killing at least 24 people and injuring over 150 others.

GENEVA, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- A Swiss army PC-7 aircraft has crashed in the Schreckhorn region of the Bernese Alps in the west of Switzerland, head of the country's air force Aldo Schellenberg said on Tuesday.


Speaking at a media conference, Schellenberg did not provide information about the fate of the pilot, the Swiss News Agency reported.


The small Pilatus propeller plane and pilot took off from the Payerne air base in canton Vaud just after at 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday, but did not land in the southern Swiss town of Locarno on the border with Italy at the expected time one hour later.


The flight did not involve active combat training but was intended to transport the aircraft to Locarno, according to the army.


A search was underway for the plane and pilot, led by four helicopter rescue teams.


The PC-7 is a type of propeller plane designed in the 1970s by Swiss company Pilatus Aircraft.

BAYERN Munich signed French midfielder Corentin Tolisso for a Bundesliga-record of at least 41.5 million euros (US$46.8 million) from Lyon on Wednesday.


The 22-year-old Tolisso signed a five-year deal, Bayern said, while Lyon announced the transfer fee and said that add-ons could see it increase by another 6 million euros.


“I had a wonderful time at Lyon, and I’m very thankful for that. Now I’m really pleased to be at one of the best clubs in Europe,” Tolisso said.


Tolisso’s transfer breaks the previous league record of 40 million euros paid by Bayern to Athletic Bilbao for Javi Martinez in 2012. The Bavarians have paid the top five fees in the league: Mats Hummels joined Bayern for 38 million euros from Dortmund in 2016, Mario Goetze cost the club 37 million in 2013 and Arturo Vidal also joined for 37 million in 2015.


Julian Draxler’s move from Schalke to Wolfsburg for 36 million euros in 2015 is the most expensive Bundesliga transfer not involving Bayern. Kevin de Bruyne’s move from Wolfsburg to Manchester City for a Bundesliga-record sale of 75 million euros helped pay for it.


Tolisso, who joined Lyon as a 13-year-old, made his debut with the French club’s senior team in 2013 and went on to play 160 games, including 32 in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, contributing 29 goals. He was reportedly a target for Chelsea.


“We’re really pleased we’ve been able to sign such a young and interesting player ahead of stiff competition from abroad. Corentin Tolisso was (coach) Carlo Ancelotti’s wish for our midfield,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.


Tolisso, a gifted midfielder who has made 1 appearance for France, will hope to fill the void left by Xabi Alonso’s retirement. Midfielder Joshua Kimmich will likely go back to fill in for the retired Philipp Lahm, and Martinez, also initially a midfielder, will stay in defense.


Tolisso is Bayern’s fourth recruit of the offseason after Sunday’s signing of forward Serge Gnabry from Werder Bremen for 8 million euros, and the previously agreed signings of defenders Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Suele from Hoffenheim.
