Launched in 2011, Juwai now outranks all US websites combined, according to Baidu, China's version of Google, with 71 percent share of all Chinese online real estate sites.


The site has 2.6 million monthly consumer visits from 315 cities in the Chinese mainland and 48 countries and regions around the world and has more than 2.8 million listings from 89 countries.


The seeds for Juwai Cheap Adreian Payne Jersey , which literally means "home overseas", were sown by two young Australians from Queensland five years ago over a couple of beers in Hong Kong.


Simon Henry and Andrew Taylor had been working in real estate in Hong Kong and Macao since the mid-2000s.


"It was a time when you walked down any street in Hong Kong and it seemed like all you could hear was Mandarin," recalled Henry, co-founder and co-CEO of Juwai along with Taylor.


"The (2008) global financial crisis had come to its end. Thousands in the financial sector had lost their jobs and most countries in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development were either in recession or starting to come out of it. But China showed little sign of slowing down.


"People had money and they wanted to spend it and spend it not only on luxury goods but property ... property overseas," Henry said. "We could see mainlanders were changing the Hong Kong and Macao property markets. But what about beyond?"


"There was nothing, as far as we could see, that catered to this growing market of Chinese Cheap Jeff Green Jersey , especially the middle class, who wanted to purchase property overseas," Henry said.


Taylor eventually quit his job and spent the next year just researching the market, which "was wide open", Henry said.


Juwai was born and has "been going a million miles an hour ever since".

In 2013, the site facilitated an estimated $5 billion worth of overseas residential property sales, he said.


Last year the figure soared to $52 billion. "Within the next four years we expect it to be around $220 billion. It is a massive market and one that is still growing exponentially," Henry said.


Henry and Taylor met in the 1990s in Brisbane, where they worked for the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.


Henry was a part-time security guard at night while studying for his master's degree in business administration. Taylor, who has a classical music background Cheap Jodie Meeks Jersey , was manager of the orchestra.


"We used to bump into one another and struck up a friendship, which has lasted to this day," Henry said.


Life could have taken a different turn for him. When he was a teenager, Henry was accepted as an exchange student in Thailand. He was so taken with the Thai culture and its people that he went on to study the Thai language at the prestigious Australian National University in Canberra.


"In many ways it was a misspent youth," he said.


Moving back to Queensland, he pursued his MBA while working at the Queensland University of Technology and part-time for the QPAC.


Both he and Taylor drifted into real estate while working for major Australian real estate company LJ Hooker before heading overseas to Macao and then Hong Kong.


"He (Taylor) is the sales and marketing genius and I am the systems guy," Henry said.


"Our research has shown that there were over 100 million outbound Chinese tourists last year ... that number shows no sign of slowing down Cheap Terrence Ross Jersey , at least not in the near term."


Many traveling Chinese are looking at buying property in countries such as the US and Australia, either as an investment or a place to live for themselves or their children, said Henry. "They are looking for such things as lifestyle, ease of immigration and education," he added.


"When we started to look into this project, there was no one in this space. There was no one providing up-to-date and current information. The market was ... like a big, blue ocean.


"What we were dealing with was two emerging markets: Chinese looking for the first time to buy real estate overseas and the other－agents Cheap D.J. Augustin Jersey , brokers and developers－looking at a Chinese audience," Henry said. For the latter, the Chinese market was always a difficult one to access.


Henry and Taylor decided to take a two-pronged business approach, with one part focused on the buyer and the other on the seller. "Our very foundation is research and analysis," said Henry.


Prior to the launch of their company, they had been well known globally in the real estate business through their previous work with the REA Group, a leading property portal Cheap Bismack Biyombo Jersey , and had made some good contacts in the process.


"When we reached out to those contacts and told them we were building a Chinese website for Chinese property investors looking to buy overseas, the reaction was more than encouraging," Henry said.


As they searched for a company name, they only had one criterion－simplicity, or something people could easily recognize.


"It had to be two characters and easy to pronounce not only by the Chinese but by international customers as well," said Henry. "After that, everything fell into place."

Juwai currently employs around 105 people, who are split between the head office in Hong Kong and its Shanghai office.
